So a year to the day we have been told the police have dropped the charges against my husband not enough evidence he doesn't currently live with us and is only allowed supervised access to our children the question is what will happen now regarding SS? Anyone gone through that bit?

I would imagine it might depend on what your partner has said about it - if he admitted to any offences, even with no evidence from a police point of view, I guess SS would still want to ask some questions? I'm just guessing though

There could be proceedings from Children's Services to see if there is a civil case to answer. This is called a Fact Find, and someone can be found "guilty" on the balance of probabilities. As it's a civil matter, there are no criminal charges. My partner was subjected to this, and "facts were found" even though the police could not find the evience to criminally charge him.
