After 18 months I feel this could finally be over? My partner was charged with possession of iioc and pleaded not guilty at magistrates Court.
He then attended Crown Court and again pleaded not guilty and was given a trial date for 5 months from then.
He has then received a phone call today to be told the case has been dropped by the CPS and it will go to court next week?
I'm confused as to why it will be going to court next week if this is actually over? I think I need to see it in black and white first to actually believe it. Has anyone experienced this before?

Hi it was the solicitor that phoned him, basically said its all over.
I guess my anxiety won't believe it until its official as its confusing at the moment.
