Hello

Has anyone gone ahead and had these assessments done privately via Lucy Faithful, prior to SS becoming involved?

If yes, what's your opinion etc?

My son 22 was arrested for iioc just over 2 weeks ago

He is living with me as was in shared uni house

His 8 yr old brother primarily resides in another area with his dad, although prior to al this I had 50/50 care. My youngest son's dad is supportive of my eldest (not his father) and is concerned about safeguarding my eldest.

Although due to age gap they have never been close or seen very much of each other, but they live each other and total non contact is logistically a nightmare and also detrimental to both my sons who want to see each other

Children services have been made aware by arresting officer, but have not contacted me. I called at start of week but no one got back to me yet. Arresting officer felt no problems with 100% supervised contact, solicitor same, and saferlives therapist same.

There are currently no bail conditions for my son.

Thanks all xxx

Thank you lost

That is so helpful

Just so concerned about shelling out more money I haven't got for something not up to standard, so many places offering these assessments.

I understand you not wanting to disclose who you used tho x

My partner hasn't had an assessment yet because it does cost quite a bit and he needs one for family courts, yet they won't specify exactly what they are looking for in an assessment.

My partner did ask a few specialists for quotations but they warned that without some more clear criteria he might be getting an assessment that doesn't mean the needs of the courts or authorisies. Tbh I don't see there can different risk assessments. But I do think it is worth getting an assessment done at some point where possible. In the meantime your son could sign up to the inform course which my partner did and was very helpful to him.
