Charged and case gone to pps

My father was charged with sexual banter communication with a minor it was actually decoy his devices where all seized nothing on them just the one communication that he was arrested for previously, the police officer in charge is preparing the paperwork for pps and she is writing on it recommending no prosecution, I'm just wondering why did she charge him then if she doesn't want him prosecuted do they have to charge everyone?

Hi not everyone gets charged, my son recently received a caution with restrictions . So no court appearance.

The police woman did charge him thou that's what I don't understand then she is writing on the paperwork recommend no prosecution to pps! I'm glad your son got a caution and I hope he is doing well xx

Thank you worriedaughter. He received 2 years on SOR, and he has to inform the PO where he goes, so if he is staying over at a friends house they must know, and if he is staying for more than 12 hours where there are children they most know that too. We are just learning to live the new normal, hes doing okay having counselling every two weeks and doing some online courses for rehabilitation. he self disclosed to police in December he didn't receive a knock at the door.

I'm sorry your here, its upto pps if they carry on with the charges or not, if there is enough evidence I don't understand how he is charged and then writes no prosecution. Did the police actually tell you this ? How is your dad, how are you ? Xx

Thank you for replying, yes that's what I don't understand charging then writing that on papers my daddy told us that and I know he wouldn't lie about it just thought it was very strange maybe because it is a criminal offence they have to charge don't know, Daddy has aged about 10years he is a broken man, I'm ok then at times I feel dead inside, thank you for asking about us, I hope you are keeping ok xxx

I'm just so confused with it all I hope that is the outcome at the end but very doubtful
Mummy was saying that the solicitor rang daddy last week for him to sign a form recommend no prosecution I didnt even ask what form it was just confused and scared too, hope you are well xxx

Forgot to say my father is on 28day bail there is something on the 21st of July a meeting or court I don't know what it is if any of you's could shed light it is with pps and police officer and solicitor I think is this normal for my father not to go!!! Tia
