Hi everyone, my partner was in crown court on Tuesday, his story hasn't been on local papers online site yet one of his old colleagues has just got in touch and the the paper has contacted them to say they are running a story and for a comment, they have said no comment, I live in another town so shouldn't suffer any fallout, however I feel ill, and don't know how to help him, I had an email prepared incase asking if they could remove his name and address as he lives with his 78 year old dad and has an 11 year old son and we are worried about reprisals, now I'm wondering if sending it would somehow draw attention to it, dont know what tod help

A lot of stuff don't hit the press anymore because so much of it going on.
So you have moved away now. Me and hubby are doing the same and only come back for the court cases.
If you don't mind me asking what did he get in sentence and for what stuff.

This is another part which we have to wait for and the most scary has you don't know what's going to happen in terms of the public reaction.
My hub was the next day and stayed a few days, it soon disappeared, we have had no problems. The OIC in charge rang a few days after and said if we get any problems, to ring straight away and they would deal with it.
The only problem is anyone can Google our surname and it's there.
I want to email the editor and ask if they would amend and then you can remove from Google, but I'm kind of scared in case I sort of remind them they haven't done their yearly review.

Thankyou for getting back to me I appreciate it, the local paper is an evening one and his dad gets it when they contacted my partners old work they said they where going to run it today, they didn't mention what the case was, what I don't understand is he doesn't work there any more so why contact them, we will have to wait now until tomorrow, I know he has done wrong, he had stopped when I met him, I think it's hard enough to rehabilitate get a job etc afterwards without it becoming common knowledge, my partner was never arrested so there is no mugshot he has had a photo took for the SOR we where told it was confidential and would never be given to the press, is this true, where he worked wasn't brought up in court hes not on social media but I suppose anyone can find out anything now aways,again thanks for getting back to me hugs back

Thankyou so much, it went online 2 hours ago, my daughter has seen it and just phoned she said its alot to take in but she will support me and will not judge my partner because everyone makes mistakes in life, It is already dropping down the stories online, there is print edition tomorrow this is worse than the court

Hi Dawn 14, thanks, I knew what would be said but it's hard seeing it in black and white, we don't live together and I live in a different town my daughter and elderly parents follow the local paper online, my daughter saw it online, the picture is so bad my daughter had to look twice I'm hopi g it's so bad my parents don't recognise it, he lives with his elderly dad and his son doesn't know we are so worried about reprisals I have chosen to be withhim they are innocent but would suffer so much, I was hoping we might avoid it as it has taken 2 days to appear, I think we will just have to ride it out even though I knew everything seeing it lune that has totally thrown me
