My husband has been sentenced. Fairly harshly considering it was one conversation with someone who pretended to be older then changed their mind but they are actually an adult. Im glad they took into account his good character, remorse and efforts before court! Or i think hed be in jail now. It's in the local paper, the article is ok but fingers crossed thats as far as it goes. Im a nervous wreck today. I appreciate this is a hot topic but why do they not consider the lives of families when reporting these stories.

Sad sad

Oh Maria. A very hard day for you all. I felt my husband s sentence was harsh too . And still do ! But at least this part is over. Try and be kind to yourself for the next wee while. Take care x

Maria,

sending you and your family lots of love. It is very distressing for families. And one of the things that never entered my head prior to experiencing this first hand. I just think a lot of people writing these articles dont get the inner deamons that cause men to act out this way.

i am still hopeful that very few people read the local paper but I get the feeling that everyone has and it’s out of your control.

sad sad is right do you have nice things to keep you going this weekend or a good friend.

Big sigh

Oh Maria, I hadn’t realised this was all upon you now. I sometimes lose the timeframe with people and so thought your knock was about the same time as mine. Did your partner plead guilty? Is that why it was so fast? Did you ever bother with the forensic psychologist?

the sentence seems so harsh - before all this I hadn’t realised how harsh the sentences were.

Thinking of you x

Oh Maria

Sorry you have had that news, not something any one of us likes the thought of and then to be followed by the media is awful.

I hope you take a couple of days to get your head together then get your incredible strength back together.

Lots of love xx

So sorry Maria. You must be in shock. Be gentle with yourself as you start now on the road to recovery and rebuilding your life. I hope the world leaves you alone to take a breath. Well done for hanging in there.
