My SW has referred me to early help I don't want it she knows I don't want it as I'm a private person and get anxious with strangers in my home I don't even want the SW here. What do they do what do they say and did u find they were any help once they were involved?

Hi Rusty.

We were referred to early help while the assessment was still ongoing and all they really did was put me on a course to learn about child sexual abuse ect. To be honest the course is horrible and makes me feel like crap most times BUT because I'm doing it, it's one of the reasons they are going to allow my hubby to be at home when our baby is born.

I Know it's hard and rubbish but they can find resources for you that may help - even help you find some councilling or something for the kids to help them too.

I would just see what they have to say and if it's not helping then ask them to step away. At least then you show willing.

Thank you scared lamb

I'll give them a chance but I don't get on with my SW while they treat my ex like he's made of glass and doesn't have to attend the meetings cos he gets upset. If I get upset I'm told to pull myself together and it's seen as a weakness x

They definitely seem to be being very unfair to you! Sorry you are going through this crap.
The early help people may be able to get you an advocate too which might help for your meetings.
