I agree with lee give unlock a call as they will be able to give good advice, from my understanding if someone has been to prison for a sexual offence it is normal for probation to place someone in approved Premises to help them Re-integrate into the community, for instance looking for work and housing etc . The fact you have a room for him will be seen as a positive i am sure, but sadly probation do have there processes and they Rarely deviate from them.
Hi fatso, my partner/ex is due out later this year for communicating with and arranging to meet a police decoy. He got 2 years inside and 2 on license. He's told me his probation officer inside prison has told him there's no reason why she thinks he couldn't come home when he's released!! What!!! Like that could happen after it was plastered online and in the local paper!
I've also told him no, not because I don't miss him but because I couldn't stand to be hurt again and also the trust issues, not to mention what would the neighbours, friends and my family say. I think probation like prisoners to be rehabilitated to some sort of normality so there's less chance of them re-offending. Obvs every case is different but I think they would like him to go home to you his family, unlock might be able to help like people have said or his probation may contact you.
