My partner had all categories for making (saving files basically) and distribution. Including animal imagery. It was 1000s of iioc.

He received a two year suspended sentence for two years and 10 years in SOR and SHPO. Also 200 hours community service.

He has just finished his suspended sentence.

Morning girls.

So how is everybody after the convictions etc. Are your partners working and had to change anything.

My partner is doing online courses etc , back working but will know he will lose his job and even taken up fishing.

Hub had 3 cat C IIOC

2 year community order, unpaid hours, 40 hours rehabilitation and 5 years on the SOR.

He does not work. Due to his contract conditions he lost his job. Thankfully I have a job still.

Were not in Scotland so not sure if they do community orders.

Seem like the convictions are up and down but depends on the day I suppose.

And seems to be adding more on the SOR

I thought so to, first offence, remorseful and done alot of work. We went back to magistrate not crown court, they just went with what the PO had put in the PSR.

The PO he has now saids hes so low risk, and when the Police came out, they said he at the bottom of the list for them coming out.

I think its really down to the day and how the person is feeling when they give the sentence.

They enjoyed the power. Can't believe that's all the training they have. There was only two of them. The one kept giving my hub evil looks. I watched him I found the courts completely chaos, very different from the pre sentence. The judge didn't turn up and it was like being in school. People banging doors, laughing, in and out of the court room. I'm just glad that part is over.

It's such a shame how every case is treated so different in the way they are sentence. When some cases are so alike.

3 and a half years . Distribution of one cat b pic that was sent to him and a chat about arranging to meet a child that was fictional . He pleaded not guilty . He had been raped as a young lad and had a mental breakdown . He got into something on Grindr and didn't know what to do x

Hiya scrappy.

Was that a suspended sentence.

Seems very harsh for just one picture. When you see people with 1000s and only getting a suspended sentence.

Hi, my partner was sentenced 3 weeks ago, he had given up his job as he worked in finance and would have had to disclose it, he has lost his son, media coverage was awful, taking a day at a time, which is how I think life is now, financially should be ok for a while, probation officer really good, hoping he will get work, take care everyone

My Ex

Communications with a child.

attempt to engage a child in a sexual act

attempt coerce a child into performing a sexual act. (he had asked for images and videos but was speaking to decoy hence the "attempt" phrase)

He got 27months in prison

10years on license

10years on sex offenders register

10years SHPO

Has anybody just been given a caution ?

I'm not 100% certain but with these types of cases (communication and sharing images) it is too serious generally to warrant a caution. I have seen people have convictions over a few photos being sent in messages. One image is too many in the eyes of the law.

Advice from a solicitor would clarify this however

Waiting times to get people onto courses such as the Horizon course can be long for those in prison. I think it's easier to get them onto that if they are outside and on a suspended sentence.

Prison is expensive, I read somewhere that it costs £45k a year to keep someone in prison.
