SS and future contact

So approx 3 weeks since we received the knock. OH on an over 18 chat site and had a text conversation with a police decoy who claimed to be 13 which my OH thought was someone wanting to role play until he received a picture, he ended the conversation as he thought it might actually be a young girl.
he has since admitted to a cocaine addiction which led to him using the over 18 chat sites, but assured me there has been no other chats with anyone claiming to be younger.
he also has struggled with mental health (this is where the cocaine use started).
we have had an initial gp referral to a mental health team and been to a drug abuse centre where he has signed up to group sessions and basically anything else they will offer.
SS have allowed supervised contact at his parents house (where he is currently living) and advised we may be able to amend the contact in the next week so he could be with the children at home once they've had chance to review everything.
has anyone else had dealings with SS and what they might allow? Or just generally anyone who has had a similar situation

He has already self referred to a drug misuse clinic and is receiving support from them including regular drug screening (first negative test done) to hopefully show SS we are tackling the problems.
I have done a draft of a family safety plan using some resources I've found but just hope it's ok.
Just desperately trying to get contact at the family home for the sake of the children so their life can look a little bit more normal. Most things I've already read on here about SS does not give me much hope though.
