Hiya.

Hubby had the knock 3 months today. The day that changed our lives forever.

No news from soliceters or police. Just that covid backlog and pinggate has set it back.

Living in the south at the moment.

Xx

Hi

unfortunately it's likely that the investigation will take a long time. Our Police officer and solicitor advised that it could be anywhere from 6 - 18 months before we hear anything more. During which time we're left in limbo.

My husbands solicitor however has been great. My husband has met him twice and has two further meetings lined up, During those meetings the solicitor is prepping him for what's to come and what he needs to do now. after that he's been told that we won't hear more until the charges are raised and then he'll have more meetings before court. The solicitor also put him contact with a specialist counsellor who my husband is seeing weekly.

it's really hard being in this situation. Big hugs and look after yourself

10 weeks for us but it's my son. I have never felt so alone and Im really scared about the future and how he will cope. He has Asperger's and has already attempted suicide twice. Our solicitor has been brilliant and he has had 3 zoom meetings with my son preparing him and advising him on rehabilitation. He will have a meeting soon with solicitor and a Forensic Psycologist, to decide if son wants to go down that route. The solicitor did say he was looking at a five year custodial sentence as there are images and chat line contact. He is having counselling from safer lives and seems to be engaging as far as we can tell it's difficult as he is a closed book and does not talk about his feelings as a result of his Aspergers. He has broken down twice when he had been drinking and it broke my heart to hear hi say he's addicted wants to stop and doesn't want to live anymore.

Every day I wake and its the first thought on my mind is today the day he gets arrested. Feel contantly sick and stressed all while trying to act normal at work! This group has been a life saver quite literally for me to know there are others going through this horrific experience. Hugs to you all xx

Hi Chelsea.

We hit the 3 month mark last week too. Just so you know you are not alone we also haven't heard anything. We did get a bit more information from the social worker but nothing from police or solicitor directly. Social workers have been asking for updates periodically in line with our child in need reviews and the last two times have just had "it's an ongoing investigation" said to them.

I was toying with the idea of contacting the officer in charge but solicitor said not to and as we get updates from social services they would know if there was anything anyway.

sending love in this awful time of limbo!

Hiya ScaredLamb.

Thank you for getting back on here. Yes looks like we are on the same path and timescale.

Me and hubby haven't got any children or stuff so no SS involvement. Phoned soliceters last week and said no updates for me so they said will keep me in the loop.

What's your Hubby getting charged for if you don't mind me asking.

We are in the south of UK.

((Hugs)) xx

Hi

Current allegations are 2x sexual communication with a child under 16 and 2x forcing a child to view sexual activity.
We know these were police decoys and the forcing a child stuff was him sending nude photos of himself.

We are Essex.
