Today's plea is at 11am, second attempt at a plea. Barrister is yet to receive all the evidence. How can this be fair? They've been told to expect it but with 34mins to go is he within his rights to request an adjournment? Surely there must be timescales to adhere to.

Imagine what would happen if one of the guys were late to court or didn't sign the SOR on time?! The whole system is biased.

I could go on a rant. I'm sure we all could.

Hi Sarah??,

I am no legal expert, but think that is absolutely ridiculous and too right I would be requesting an adjournment! How can you be expected to give a plea when the barrister hasn't been given the evidence?! What has your barrister/solictor advised?

Hopefully others can offer better advice/support but I would look at making a complaint too.

Thinking of you x

It's really tricky. My ex just wants it over so doesn't want another adjournment. Seems they've been given the evidence with 9 minutes to spare.

It's not a complicated case. 3 cat C's. He's in crown due to the distribution element of the charges. 2 charges per photo.

I've never felt anxiety like this before. I'm finding the court proceedings worse than the initial arrest. It's coming to a conclusion but totally out of my control.

Thank you for the reply. It always calms me down to know there are others listening xx

I totally understand that. Especially when offenders admit guilt and are remorseful, I understand that they want it to be over and done with. I am only two months in and can't wait for this nightmare to be over. How long has the process been for you?

I also think I would feel the same about court proceedings. There are so many variables but I hope the outcome/decision is what is best for you and your ex-partner. Don't forget to take some time out for yourself if your anxiety becomes too much x

It is so very frustrating. The first time my partner went for sentencing there were admin errors and the judge got his age wrong and admitted they had not read up the case properly. They adjourned it. We both had to take time off work for what was a ten minute 'sorry we are not ready for you today come back in a month!'.

Sarah, exactly the same has happened to us. We got an adjournment at the first hearing because the chat logs had not been sent through. It's a complete waste of everyone's time and resources. If I screwed up so badly in my job, I'd be fired!!

They received the evidence in time. Guilty plea submitted and sentencing arranged. No surprises in the evidence - which I'm thankful for.

It's been 16 months for us since arrest. It's so tough finding time for ourselves when we're left to look after children and supervise contact.

Thanks all. As per always this space has been invaluable.

3 Catagory C photos... They took him to court and didn't offer a caution instead for 3 catagory C photos...

Wow. It's like they're just looking to waste tax payers money.
