How have others coped with the availability of porn via a SMART tv / fire sticks. I've tried doing parental controls but this does not seem to restrict access via you tube and other online varieties of film and programmes access.

We do not have access to the VPN or router so have to do it via the tv itself. So at present we are using a non SMART tv with fewer channels and no internet access. He says that often the reception is poor but I think that's an excuse in wanting internet access.

Sorry as I am not tech savvie! But am trying to ensure no access to internet but have stuff to watch!!

Some TVs will allow you to require a pin to access the internet, that's what I did on mine. Doesn't impact the apps that are running on the virgin media box though.

It's mad as we did parental control plus added a pin but there is just terrible stuff that can be accessed as found one of his searches ... we did giggle as got stuck in and each type tried escaping there was something else totally unsavoury!!!

I think you can but only using mode techie which we can't access as it serves other people in the main house. So we cannot access without revealing

I'm not too tech savvy either. But our smart TV gets access to the internet via WiFi. So any illegal activity would be picked up from the router. Hence why the police are not strict on our use of the TV as they have the details for the router. Not sure if they took details of the TV itself.

Apps with accounts like YouTube I think night be easier to set up on the phone or computer for usability, but should then work on the TV.

There is also casting option. I used to have a Chromecast. You could cast what you want from your phone or tablet that your partner doesn't have access to. Tho I'm not sure how secure the Chromecast device is.

I've decided to stick to a non smart television as just far easier for now. I've lost too much time trying to find a way seemingly tricky stuff!! But thank you but it's so annoying!!
