I am wondering if it is helpful to have a specialist assessment by a psychiatrist or Pyschologist for court hopefully to give true picture of why but also that wonder via therapists etc is ongoing plus lots of safety and preventative steps taken.

There are no children directly involved

Thank you

I was not clear on the difference between the forensic psychologist v a psychiatrist. I have emailed one lady Torie to see if she can help. I have printed off all the Stop It Now stuff, he is doing their course soon plus is having private therapy. I'm looking for anything and everything to help sort him out that I can.

About to find a new counsellor for myself as bit overwhelmed and not coping today.

Lee can I ask if you got Tori early on in the process I.e. before the formal police interview at the end of bail? We do not know as yet all the evidence. To me it seems sensible to start the sessions as she also offers therapy. Yes extremely expensive but if it makes a difference to the persons actions in the future as well as any potential court case then it seems worth it. The person involved admitted viewing etc that lead to arrest. A distant friend is saying wait until later but also don't want to leave it too late. I hate hate all of this ...

It's all ok. It's following the normal process and his solicitor is keeping us updated. I really appreciate the support.
