Does this sound right??!!

So, we have rang the solicitor for an update today..
she has said that mine and children's devices will be returned as we aren't under suspicion, however this hasn't been confirmed by police.
She has also said that my partners devices were checked while he was being held, (he was at the police station for 12 hours, kept for 11 & half hours and interviewed for 10 minutes). They offered no disclosure to how they obtained the information to the solicitor that lead to the arrest.
She has asked the police for an update as is unsure what else they are doing, as she believes they have done what they need to. So we are lead to believe it should be done with soon!!
Now I'm left wondering whether to trust her advice, if I do and she has it wrong my world will come crashing down for a second time, even though my partner is adamant he hasnt done anything.
The confusing thing is she's saying this with no confirmation!
Does any of this add up to anyone?? Xx
