I am really struggling to understand how they can keep postponing sentencing. It's now the second postponement. If he's not high risk and doesn't need to be dealt with immediately why haven't they come up with a new way of managing these offences?

The anxiety each time the date approaches is unbearable.

No real question. More of a moan.

It's now mid November. Have no faith in it being on that date. Its a Friday and I know if things over run that week he'll be pushed again.

I find the hypocrisy alarming. He's OK to be in the community on bail, following restrictions, for 18 months but suddenly on the sentencing day this changes and he's seen as high risk again- possibly needing a custodial sentence. I don't believe prison is an appropriate punishment. I never have. I'd be absolutely awful on a jury as I don't think I'd have it in me to convict anyone!

I didn't believe that the criminal justice was fit for purpose before this process. If only someone in government had the balls to change something!

Anyway. Rant over.

So sorry to hear this Sarah. The postponement for first sentencing date was torture after the build up and dread. Next date set is in a couple of weeks and I know I have to keep in mind it might be postponed again but I just want to know what's going to happen.

Anyway I feel your pain xx

Sorry to hear this. I'm struggling to understand how they can get away with this. The trauma it causes.

Ours is next week. Still expecting a postponement.
