After 18 months of keep being bailed ex is now RUI with no restrictions. I'd really like my children to have unsupervised access with him. The social services assessment was closed 1year ago and was supervised access only, but now the bail conditions are gone, can he have unsupervised?
Hi T2021
In theory as he has now be RUI, the police can't place restrictions on him, and as such is able to live his life as normal untill he here's from the police again, to an extent he could leave the country to go on holiday, he does not have to tell any one.
The purpose of RUI is to stop the charging clock, and once stopped the police can sadly take a long as they like to investigate befor passing the case to the CPS to see if charges should be brought.
In regards social services you might want to seek advice from family rights group,

Hi there.
If you want to chnage arrangements agreed with SS you will need to ask them. But to be honest until all the evidence is collected and charges set (if it gets that far) then the SS will take a precautionary approach, which is understandable.
So I would be surprised if they allow unsupervised. And if they consider it it is likely an assessment and some sort of protection plan arranged
