I was wondering if anyone on here is aware of any research or studies that have been carried out to show if there is a link with viewing IIOC's and going onto commit a contact offence.
I thought the correlation between the two was quite low, but I am struggling to find any research/evidence of this.
Can anyone help?

Sorry if my queston was unclear.
I am looking for any stats on this - something that says
_% of people who view IIOC's go onto commit a contact offence

Hi Alison there is quite a bit of research out there, as we can't post links I'll get the publishers and authors over the week end so you can then google the information
This is one study from Sweden that links to a number of other studies I'll try find the others

It sadly can happen.......
Thank you so much to you all for responding with Information that I can now look into on this subject. It is so much appreciated.
When my partner first told me about his offending I went to the papers linked on the Lucy faithful website. I come from a science background and found comfort in the range of papers to read on the matter. I remember the probability being statistically low for iioc only offending to lead to contact.
I also learned about the different types of offenders, the different categories had varying risk factors e.g. there are some where it is all fantasy and cannot comprehend or seek real contact, and there will be others where they use iioc as an alternative to their real desires and therefore are typically the higher risk offenders.
I do recommend checking the stop it now and Lucy faithful websites for such papers.
