I believe they are meant to say the address they are at for the time of the hearing. But they messed up for my partner and said it was the address he was arrested. They also got his age wrong. Was so unprofessional. Maybe best to suggest the offender request the details to be read in court are accurate before hand

Hiya.

I always thought they read out the address he was arrested at.

I know if you move away then you have to come back to the courts where arrested.

Do they read out the address that the court letter gets sent to or the address where they are living at the time of the court date, so for instance my son has his own home so if he received the magistrates letter at his current address and then moved to another address before the court date would it be the address as of the court date read out then, thanks

Thank you everyone.
It seems different areas and different courts all do there own thing. I hope it's his current address they use. It's been over a year since the knock and we are no further forward. The police ring me and tell me it won't be long we have all we need on him but then it's months till I hear again from them and then they just stay the same. After months of being told no contact they are now pushing ahead and making arrangements. My family are furious. I don't want contact until he's charged in case he's given a custodial sentence. I hope ur all keeping well as can be and looking after urself
