Hi everyone,

this is slightly different but related: I wondered if anyone else has experienced the police having seen sexually explicit content of yourself? I know that my ex - case went NFA earlier this year - had photos of me on his phone, and even though the knock was a long time ago for us, I'm really struggling to with the knowledge that someone who i didn't consent to seeing my body has seen and assessed it (even while understanding they would have been professional and discreet). it's such a unique and complicated situation I don't have any friends who can relate to me about this, and even when I was with my ex post the knock he didn't seem to understand how traumatic a thing that was for me, so i just wanted to know how others have processed these feelings of violation.

thanks.

Hi,

Sorry you feel like this, I can totally relate! My partner had a full folder of photos I had sent him and videos of us together and it makes me sick to my stomach that someone else will have viewed them. Particularly as I feel like he should never really have been investigated for what he is in the first place but that's another story. I will be complaining once this is done because if they have messed up and investigated incorrectly then I will be arguing a case for my rights being violated. I think you just have to think that they've seen millions of pics and probably don't look too closely at things unless they suspect it's iioc. It's humiliating xx

Hi,

I can fully relate to this too, it is so hard because u never in a millions do u think u would be in that position. I think even though its hard u do need to not think though about it and as said they see so many hopefully they don't take to much notice.

Exactly! As embarrassing as it is for us, we are a nobody to them and they probably wouldn't know it was us if they tripped over us in the street. I know it doesn't take it away but I suppose it's the same as when you go to a gynaecologist, they're there to do a job, not get gratification and see that many hoo-has they're probably sick of the sight of them! xx

Hi Tbh I was really freaked out at this too,

i spoke to OIC about it and they said dont worry about that we know stuff like that is on peoples phone and they reassured their focus would be solely the investigation
