Hi everyone
just looking for a bit of advice.
I was involved in a long distance relationship with someone who has been arrested for online grooming 6 weeks ago. I have children from a previous relationship.
I have heard nothing from the police or social services regarding my kids and I just wondered whether this was normal as we didnt live together and the relationship is now over.
Should I still expect them to contact me and how long might it be?
Anyone been through something similar.

Dear Bee4444,
Thank you for posting on the Family and Friends forum, we understand that it is not easy to post on a forum about these difficult situations. I can see that you have not yet had a reply on your post, hopefully someone else in a similar situation can reply soon with some support.
In the meantime, if you haven’t done so already I would also encourage you to contact our Stop it Now! helpline. The helpline is anonymous, confidential and free, on 0808 1000 900. One of our trained advisors will then be able to explore your situation in detail and provide some support. Our trained advisors deal with similar concerns to yours every day, and will be able to talk these through with you and offer you the best advice we can.
I hope this has been helpful.
Take care,
Lucy

Hi Bee4444,
Sorry your post had been missed, sometimes this page is super busy and posts get lost. You could always bump your post next time as everyone will want to help you. Did your partner tell the police about you. Maybe the police haven't referred you since you are long distance, have they met him or spent time with him. My social worker did take a few weeks the first time, second time was the same day.
Hope you're doing okay ? Keep in touch on the page if you can so everyone can support you xx
