My work HR are ringing the police, what can they tell them.

So hubbies work are wanting to know what's going on.
He had a meeting and they wanna know about stuff.
Of course the police have said it was gonna be October and now I think it's gonna be in new year.
It's been nearly 7 months since the knock and have been told by concelling etc it's gonna be a while.
So now HR are gonna ring the police for a update etc.
My question is what can the police tell HR and do they tell them first before him or the soliceters.

He told them about the arrest and about being on bail and now on RUI.
His work said he could go back because he works in a controlled area.
So was wondering what the police would say to HR or is it a case of they have to tell me or the soliceters first.

the police should not be telling HR anything as it would be seen as a breach of data protection, at most all they can confirm is that he is RUI, the only time they may have to go into further information is if he is working with children or vulnerable adults.
As lee has stated look at his contract, if there is nothing about telling them about investigations then untill convicted they should not be doing anything.
If he has been at the company for more than 2yrs he has employment rights and might be worth speaking to ACAS re any issues of employment if they try to get rid of him befor any decissions around the investigation are made

From what I gather and when I went with him before he went back to work the main boss said no not coming back until the property has come back.
Me being me said that could be months if not a year.
We both know when the devices come back they will find stuff. He knows that and we hopefully will be sold up and gone.
So they took him back in a controlled area and being monitored everyday.

No nothing on work devices thank god. Yes I think you said in another post Lee that he would lose his devices. Thank you.
When this is over he is having a £10 throw away phone.
Do u know roughly the average time this all takes. We are at month 6 at the end of the month. Safe to say nothing will happen before Xmas.

Sorry I think I confused myself then.
Nothing has been found on any work devices.
His personal devices have been taken but we both know stuff is on there. So they will be destroyed.
As for timings like you say no ryme or reason in timings but doing my maths what with second interview , getting to court and then magistrates court plus with soliceters shut over Xmas and new year and courts gonna be 2022.
