Please can anyone suggest a software monitoring tool that can be used to monitor internet use by one’s partner?
Hi Maggie,
you can find lots of useful information here: https://www.parentsprotect.co.uk/internet-safety-links.htm
We also recommend Covenanteyes: https://www.covenanteyes.com/ which provides a monitoring service and works on all sorts of devices i.e. mobile phones, laptops etc.
I hope that helps. Thanks for posting your question and welcome to the forum.

Dear Maggie
I have set up two systems, Qustodio and ActiveTrak. Qustodio you pay for but it's not very much, and it blocks specified sites or types of site, and sends you alerts and reports. It's obvious to the person that they are being monitored. It's easy to temporarily unblock a site if needed. Then Activtrak is absolutely covert and is the free version of an employee monitoring package. It monitors usage, search terms and takes a screenshot every 20 seconds. I use them together; if a dodgy search term comes up, Qustodio sends me a mail. Then I can home in on the screenshot with Activtrak. So when my husband was searching for something in the garden he put in 'Water butt'. Qustodio got excited and said he was searching for pornography. Activtrak revealed with the screenshot that it was much more innocent.
But if you block facebook, you will get lots of 'attempts' which just mean that facebook has tried to scrape your data from a different site - linkedin does the same - so you need to be a bit careful how you interpret it all. Qustodio is very reliable, Activtrak needs adjusting sometimes as it's the free version. I can do all of this from my smartphone which is useful
