Accidental download

Hi,
my boyfriend (20) accidentally downloaded a link off of Reddit which contained two class (C) photos and one class (A) video. He has never opened the folder and wasn't aware it was on his device. He was arrested in September and was released pending investigation whilst his devices were searched. He has just been arrested again. Has anyone else experienced this and can offer me any information as to what may happen next?

Get a good computer forensic expert through your solicitor for when the police supply the SFR (Streamlined Forensics report) In the meantime think about a "silent" second interview or have the solicitor prepare a statement for same, which will occur if they do find the images, deleted or not.
Reddit is the worst! That's probably where my OH got set folders without him realising. He said he found folders labelled 'cooking recipes'! His defence team is also looking into getting the evidence forensically examined.
Hi, I am in a similar situation with my dad. He downloaded a file and didn't know what it was and didn't open it.
Can I ask what happened in the end?

I too would like to know what happens, hubby had the same thing happen.
It has literally turned our world upside down.
He was stupid enough to click on a porn link but had no knowledge that it had downloaded these images.

Similar situation as my partner! Clicked on a link he was sent in an email was obviously a scam as it was IIOC never clicked anything else. 2 years later had the knock ended up in court and has a 5 year SOR and a SHPO all for something that he didn't actually search or ask for and it's still affecting us as a family now that little one has started school. Fight fight fight is all I say!
