This is a question aimed at the admin or anyone who has an answer!

Would it be possible to have a legal professional on here who can give legal advice?
so many questions on this topic and we seem so often to be scrabbling around in the dark for answers. (Don't get me wrong it is very helpful to get the real life experience of people on here)
Perhaps there is a reason this has not been done before I don't know.

it is just a thought, it would be so very helpful if we could proper legally based answers to so many questions people have on here.

I cannot give legal advice but I can tell people what they need to know as to how to navigate this jungle.

Hi Mabel,

It is positive to see you have been using the forum as a place for information and support. I understand you would like some legal advice. Unfortunately, we are not legal professionals and therefore the advice we can provide around this is limited. From our
understanding it is also difficult to provide generic legal advice as every person
and case is so different.

If you have any general questions about how the criminal justice process works then this is something we can discuss with you in more detail via the helpline. For specific legal advice, I would encourage you to seek help from a solicitor. You may wish to visit The
Law Society page (https://www.lawsociety.org.uk/en) where you can find a solicitor by speciality and location. You may also find it helpful to read other forum
users’ posts about their experiences, but please be mindful that different situations
will have different outcomes.

I hope this helps.

Take care,

Lucy

Hi again

Thanks for your replies.

We already have a solicitor since the knock, my partner is RUI.
I just thought for some guidance it would be helpful but understand it is not possible.

thanks
