Hiya.

So hubby has got his Volunterer interview on Thursday/16th.

Just wondering what they ask etc , and will he have chance to put his case across, like his Coucelling etc.

Yes he is taken his solicitor with him.

Thank you xx

Hiya Lee.

I dunno if I can explain this well. Sorry for the mix up.

Well he got the knock in May 21. They arrested him but released on bail and still on RUI.

They got his 3 devices back and from I gather the chat isn't at the police station but in a room where the police officer wants to ask a few questions.

There will only be him, police and soliceter in the chat but recorded.

The Coucelling was for his mental health and addressing his issues.

Hopr that makes sense xx

Hiya Lee.

So I gather after this it's sent off to cps what next day or over a time after they have spoken to the sergeant etc.

What's the next steps then ?

And what about timescales.

Sorry to ask xx

I would prepare a statement in conjunction with the solicitor, depending on what he knows is on the devices.Have any images been deleted? If that is the case there is no "Possession".They will then try to prove "making" which is much more difficult. If he has mental health problems, there should be a "responsible adult" present.Consult the solicitor. It is important to get a good one involved as soon as possible.

My partner was arrested July, released under investigation and had a voluntary interview on two days later and we haven't heard from the police since.

As Lee says, unfortuantley every case is different, timescales are different, police forces deal with it differently so you simply cannot predict times.

What gets me is that all police services are different when you would have thought everybody would be using the same system and paperwork.

Definitely have a solicitor there regardless. Maybe they can clarify what this interview is exactly. As mentioned above there such interviews where they sum up the evidence they have and/or the new evidence and when the police feel like they have enough they send to CPS. But it could be one, two maybe more interviews before then. I can't remember but I don't think my partner was told after his second interview they were going to CPS, it just got announced a few weeks later.

Just spoke to my partner. From what he can remember he had three interviews (one at the arrest/knock, and two over a two year span). It was within two months of the last interview that he got his charges. The police contacted him a week or two in advance because they needed to notify him they needed to come to the house (plain clothes) to hand the charges over.

They didn't tell him in his last interview wether they would send info to CPS. I guess each case can be different. But this was what it was like for my partner.
