Well, I suppose success isn't the right word but does anyone have any stories with happy endings? Eg. Husband back at home.etc

for context, we are eight months in after my partner was arrested for sexual communication with a police decoy. He admitted everything in interview, and I was eight months pregnant at the time he moved out when our daughter was born. SS have us on a CIN plan and so far contact has been supervised. I got approved as a supervisor when our daughter was five months old and he now sees her everyday.

two weeks ago we got the update that nothing else on devices and the case is going to CPS. SS moved us to long term team who seem more willing to work towards partner coming home, but won't discuss next steps until January at our next meeting.

I think I'm just looking for anyone to give me some hope? That he will get to come and live back at home with us?

he's been in weekly therapy since the arrest, completed a course with safer lives and now does sessions with a STOPSO therapist. We have a full safety plan and I did the Inform course. SS have said we've done everything we can at this point and they even said they have never seen so much proactive work...but just feel a bit lost as we just seen to be stuck.

sorry for the babble. Just trying to work out what to do next/stay positive for the future x

Pregnant,

how does husband find the stopso sessions ? Is it recommended to do safer lives too?
I want to do inform course but it's so expensive and with prospect of losing his job we need all the money we can get.

Hi, I can't speak for definite but we've been told by StopSO, Stop It Now and Safer Lives that you don't need to do all of it and certainly not at the same time. It's too overwhelming.

My partner did the the Safer Lives course first, then moved onto StopSO sessions which he does weekly. I did some sessions with Safer Lives before moving onto the Inform course for partners (which is free except for a small donation).

My partner would have been more eligible for the Stop It Now engage course instead of the inform course (as his offending is communication) which is one on one. However, he's been doing really well with his StopSO sessions so is sticking with that. His StopSO therapist has just started couples sessions with us too, which has been great too x
