Plea hearing tomorrow
Notifications OFF
My husband attends his plea hearing tomorrow (21st). He is entering a guilty plea and hopefully this will be accepted by the Court. All being well he will be referred for reports before sentencing late January - February. However I had a cheery Christmas message from the Court today stating that if the case is sent for trial I will be called as a witness. And a happy Christmas to you too!
No supporters allowed in the Court so I will be on tenterhooks until I hear from him. As one of my friends would say, time to get the big girl pants on!

Hi Judith.
How annoying, and premature, for the courts to tell you that. I have not heard others having the same but I guess it does happen.
The plea hearing was super quick for my partner. Hopefully if you want to be there you can go to the sentencing.

I hope the plea hearing goes well Judith. Thinking of you x
Hello Ladies
Thank you for your kind thoughts.
Home again after husband attended Court this morning. Guilty plea to reduced number of charges accepted by prosecution and Court which is thanks to very competent and on the ball solicitor. Placed on SOR from today but we won't know how long this will last until sentencing on 18th January following completion of reports from the criminal justice social worker. Solicitor is now more hopeful of a community sentence but can't count our chickens yet.
Now looking forward to a few days of festive spirit ( and hopefully no media reports) before the circus sets off again.
Take care.
