Safer Lives for H
Notifications OFF
Hi, have anyone's loved ones still under investigation done the safer Lives consultation?
I'm really worried as we are still early days in the investigation (10wk) and the duty solicitor advised no comment all the way thru the initial arrest stating police have to prove allegations (3 catA) but upon reading the confidentiality agreement with safer Lives I'm worried anything said will be told to the police and this would be used against H.
I know the course is a good thing and will help with his mental health and addiction but scared it may also go against him

Hi, he isn't sure what there maybe as he was in plenty of sex chats with lots of various topics and pictures but nothing downloaded intentionally so it's what maybe found on deeper investigation into his mobile
Hi, my partner completed the course with safer lives.
As far as I'm aware, Safer Lives confidentially is more that if there was someone in danger they would alter the police. For example, if your partner revealed he has committed a contact offence then they would need to reveal that to the police.
As Lee says, the no comment is to push the police to provide evidence for their suspicions. Even if your partner has done it and had admitted it in interview, the police would still need evidence to charge.
A confession without evidence won't stand up in court so they need to have the proof too x

Thank you both, it's just so frightening and you just don't know what will be used against you, I'm probably looking to much into it as ss always seem to be playing good guys to help you and then using it against you
