Hiya.

Don't know if anybody knows my stuff.

Hubby had the knock in May/21. He had the volunteer interview middle of December/21.

They have found 48 images on devices and only possession across all settings. No distribution, no chats.

Stuff being sent to cps in new year. Because of annual leave and covid police havnt the staff.

He has done all the modules on here and 7 paid concelling sessions.

Been a absolutely crap time for me and cannot wait for this to finish.

So was asked what the charges could be and timeframes.

Hiya Lee.

Thank you again for your answers etc.

I think hubby said that it was all cat and that all his stuff was sent to him from these WhatsApp groups. He just got added and viewed them. They said that some stuff was in 2016 but they know what they are but cannot make it out. Our solicitor is contesting the case.

Timeframes. So I have read on the web that it takes 28 days approx for the cps to turn it around and give court cases.

Hiya.

The contested ones are the ones which they cannot see what the pictures are but they know what they are.

Strange. But that's what the solicitor is contesting.

Hiya.

He has had 6 paid concelling sessions with stopso.

By the time it comes to court then it might be 10 cases.

He has emailed all his concelling sessions to both parties , the police and his soliceters.

His solicitor said that if he sat back and did nothing he would be in a bad way.

His Couceller said he is going to write up a report for him when it goes to court etc

What you mean more stuff to show the courts Lee ?

I know for sure he hasn't even gone near porn. He has even downloaded the app I saw in another one of your posts to stop him viewing.

I know this something different. But we have sold up and waiting for paperwork and hopefully will have moved by time it goes to court so the new area won't know him apart from the police etc. Nowhere near schools etc.

Work might be a issue but we shall see .

Hi Chelsea

My husband had almost 100 extreme pornography images ruled indeterminate which meant the charge of extreme pornography was withdrawn. This was thanks to our solicitor challenging the original charge. What remains is a relatively small number of child sex abuse images in Cats A and C. His solicitor advised that if he had been charged with the extreme images as well he would have almost certainly faced a custodial sentence. Hopefully he will now receive a community sentence instead (but he will still be packing a bag on sentencing day just in case).

He won't be forgetting about those extreme images though. He still has lots of work to do on his addiction and our relationship.

Hiya Judith.

Fingers crossed you get the right result hun.

One question if I may. How long it taken for you to get to this point from Cps to this time.

There is no offence of "making" extreme porn images. If the images were deleted and not accessible then there is no offence of "possession"

Similarly for iioc, and to prove "making" they have tp prove the images were "deliberately and knowingly" downloaded.

If a third party sent the images unsolicited,no crime is committed re "making" .Get a good soliciter and computer forensic person.

Hi Chelsea,

It took 4 months for the CPS to make a decision regarding my sons case and his was considered a priority due to his age.

It really does depend on the backlog in your area and frustrating as it is, it won't help you to dwell on it.

Just try do all you can to life your lives in the meantime and work on that understanding amd prevention of repeating in the future.. x

Chelsea

We had the knock December 2020. Arrested and charged July 21. Charges challenged. Guilty plea entered and accepted for revised charges December 21. Sentencing will be 18th January 2022. Hopefully the Criminal Justice and Sex Offender's Police Unit reports will.be completed in time as we really don't want any postponements.

I think I mentioned before that we are in Scotland and sometimes it seems as if our criminal justice system can be a little quicker than in busier conurbations in England. Worst bit was waiting for results from the devices to come back.

Take care.

Hi Chelsea

just to let you no it's been 10 months since first interview and police said the cps will make a decision within 28 days and still no sign it is coming up to 2 year since the knock on the door and we are just sitting in limbo it's getting harder the longer it goes on.it gives you longer to dwell on things.
