Struggling over the holidays

Despite our best efforts my husband has struggled with his pornography addiction over the holidays. A combination of no work for a fortnight and the upcoming assessments pre sentencing later this month have left him with too much time and insufficient coping strategies.
I have picked up concerns via Ever Accountable and also caught him scrolling down the Adult tv channels. I feel like a moral police officer trying to block off every possible avenues to porn. And I don't like it.
But this is progress. We are talking. I am challenging him. I am no longer shrugging my shoulders and putting up with behaviour I have found distressing for many years. We have also learned we need to develop better coping strategies to deal with stress other than him seeking out pornography. Still a long way to go. We shall be back to therapy after sentencing.

Thanks Lee.
The SAA groups would be excellent I think. His therapist also suggested it but he is just focusing on the sentencing and it is hard to get him to look at anything new before then. He did look at the Paula Hall clips which he seemed to think were quite good. He certainly derived benefit from the Inform Plus course and has heard good things about the Moving Forwards, Making Changes course offered through Criminal Justice here.
My husband misses his full time job dreadfully. The part time job is a help on all fronts but he has also taken up Meccanno. I am hoping once sentencing is done we can start moving forward again.
I am pleased to hear your husband has done so well. Thank him for his suggestions. It gives us all a bit of hope.
