Hi everyone.

Happy New Year... hoping it will be better than last year. We are 13 months in now and I was just wondering about timings for the next stage. RUI November 2020, no bail or restrictions. Comms offence with decoy and images on a phone. Laptops all returned but not phones. Nothing from police since his initial questioning. He denies all. Would like to know timescales if anyone would be willing to share. Also wondering if next stage is charges, second interview or notice that case is with CPS? Thanks x

Thanks Lee. Yes its definitely a decoy. Linked to our home IP address. They found the profile pic from the chat and a few images on his phone in the initial search but nothing on laptops.

Police decoy. I've spent months trying to find out how this could have happened without him knowing but drawn a blank. I'm struggling to believe him now and I feel so guilty. He is a shell of a man and I feel so sorry for him but I just dont know what to believe anymore. My counsellor has said to prepare myself for the possibility that I will never know for sure either way.

From reading other people's stories I think I got lucky with the police that came out to us. They were very open about everything and didnt hold back with much. I was shown the profile picture but didnt know him. Next day husband admitted using Porn Hub and You Porn a few times but vehemently denied more. He had never shown an interest in porn in the 13 years we have been together so it was a surprise.

No, it was a younger man and I didnt recognise him. Husband has very few friends and works mostly from home so I know pretty much everyone he knows. He was very reliant on me and the kids and did nothing without us. It was suffocating to be honest and lock down just made it all the more suffocating. Which was why it was a bit weird when he started staying up late on his own. Just thought he was depressed and struggling with his mums death. Few hints there I guess.

Our phones use the wi-fi when we are at home so his phone would have been linked to the IP address. How the conversation took place is a bit vague, the police didnt give me much info and my husband said they didnt tell him much either. I believe it was on Skype but I dont know how it started as I understand it moved to Skype from another chat place.
