Hi

I lost my dear mother a few days ago, at the moment the prison will not allow him to come even though he only has 5 weeks to go. Does anybody know if it is at all possible.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have no advice regarding his attendance but I wanted to send my condolences.

Take care x

I am so sorry for your loss.

I have just come across this online - parliamentary document that talks about prisoners attending funerals in person or remotely during COVID. Don't know if this may help you.

https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/jt5801/jtselect/jtrights/518/51808.htm

Have you tried contacting your local MP to find out what rights your son has to attend the funeral? They maybe able to give you some advice/support?

Thinking of you at this sad and difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of your bereavement . I don't know the answer to your question but could Families for Prisoners give you any advice?

Thinking of you and sending sympathy for your loss.
