My partner is being charged with attempted sexual communication, police have confirmed CPS have authority to charge. Feels like progress but also terrifying too.

For info, he was arrested at end of March last year when I was 8 months pregnant. He admitted all in the interview, no images or anything else found except the conversation with the decoy.

Does anyone know if you have to answer charges at the police station, will be likely be bailed again or remanded into custody?

I'm so scared.

Hey,

Sorry your going through this! The Police told me that the CPS had asked questions and it was 2 months later the officer hand delivered the charges. Majority of people on here seem to get charges by post. I haven't seen anyone so far be remanded after an initial arrest. I hope somebody else may be able to give any further information which might help you. Big hugs xx

Hi guys,

it definitely is to answer charges, it's not a further interview but purely to get CPS decision. Solictor isn't coming as it's purely to answer bail conditions as his previous ones were pre charge bail, and now he will be on post charge ones.

feeling less panicked and scared now, so hopefully onto the next stage. Just got to focus on court and then hopefully get my partner home.
