Hi,

So my nightmare of a journey is nearly over, I just want to say a huge huge thank u to the lovely people on this forum. You have been my strength for the last 8 months, I have come nearly everyday reading ur stories sometimes multiple times in one day and u have got me through wat has been the worse 12/14 months of my life.

We think that the knock is the worse thing we can ever imagine and then the long wait for some, which can be really hard and when u think u have got into a routine ur life gets thrown completely of course by the charges coming through ur door and then we have to deal with the stresses of court, buy I have found the worsed on this journey is the absolute harsh prejudice of ss, they have been the nightmare of all nightmares, u follow the rules and still they accuse u of minimising wat ur other half has done, when actually u r just trying to do the right thing for ur family, u r just trying to do the right thing.

If it wasn't for this group I would not be here today but also I would not be able to have my husband come home for nights visits, and while we want him home permanently right now we are just grateful to get this, I would have pushed so hard for this if it hadn't been for this forum. So thank u so so much, and anything is possible, which I never thought it would be.

We have finally had our cin meetings stopped, and we are now allowed over night stays, we have finally in a couple of weeks getting rid of ss

Thank you so much again for all ur support it means so much to me

Xxxxx

I'm so pleased for ur dawn14 I know SS are the worst my anxiety and mental health are at an all time low just before and after one of there visits. Also when u ask if everything is ok then at a core meeting they throw things back at u that u have done wrong. We are in court later this week and hopefully it will be a beginning to an end for me and my family x

Aw I'm happy for your Dawn. I totally related to your previous posts.
may I ask what charges were and how you managed overnight visits? Any tips how we can get this also?
I too have been accused of playing down what partner has done when all I was doing was trying to explain how he got to where he did and trying to protect our family unit. We all by all means don't try to down play it when our whole lives have been turned upside down by oh's actions.
enjoy every minute with your family x

Hi,

Thank u everyone.

Jayjay, unfortunately I went through 12 months of hell. So first of all I was told by ss that my husband would never be allowed home and I was scared but then ss asked me to do the llf inform course which I did and I found this forum and well I spent the last half of last year reading this forum it gave me the strength to fight, so back November I told my sw I was not gonna take any more me scared and I will fight even if I have to go to court for my husband to be allowed home, I started the safeguarding and prevent level 2 and whilst doing the llf inform I had a support worker as I had been put onto ccp ( October 2020 until August 2021 ) so I had done some work with her, I have done a safety plan although I'm not sure it's very good and I have also brought a camera for the upstairs I think this helped. My hubby got a new offender manager and I had also told him wat my intentions were and they have been really happy with the progress he has made, as he has not been in trouble since his first arrest, and doesn't intend too because he knows I won't be staying a second time.

He was charged with downloading iiocs of all categories and for inappropriate animal pics, he got 12 months suspended for 2 years which we are half way through and 10 years on shpo and sor. Hooe this helps
