I've started the process of allowing access from prison.

we started back in October but the prison he was at was so slow we had no response by the time he was moved at the beginning of this month.

Started the process again now and already had the letter for forms to fill out.

I am a little nervous about it.

What with having social services being involved now because I'm open to him having contact but the kids have suffered massively having no contact so I feel I'm making the right decision

Hi,

We're currently on 3 times phonecalls a week.

It took a few weeks to become like a natural conversation again but it's now part if the girls routine.

Have requested video calls on the run up to release (later this year) as it'll help them to see his face before he arrives back in our lives.

You sound like you are putting your children's needs first which is sometimes tough but absolutely the right thing to do.

One thing I would say is set up a routine from the start. Children need predictable routines so having set days/times really helps my two.
