How soon did you start looking at getting a solicitor?
My husband was arrested for IIOC downloading a handful of A, B and C so he tells me. Nothing else. No charges as of yet.
Should we start looking for one now? How do you find one that specialises in this? Do you just call and ask them? What should I be asking them?

Sorry for all the questions, my brain doesn’t seem to be functional at the moment!

It's worth looking around making enquires however it's only when the charges come in everyone knows what they are dealing with do the solicitors start working, if he is called for a second interview he will need a solicitor but there is always the duty one.

There is no specialist solicitors for this as they are all dealing with these cases because there are just so many coming in sad but true, just find someone that will fight for the best outcome for him.

Hi

We contacted a solicitor the day after the knock. Gave him a brief outline of what had happened. We didn't actually need him for advice until my husband was arrested and taken in for the second interview after which hubby was charged and released under police bail.
