DBS CHECK

Hi,
I am looking at volunteering as a driver but they want me to do a dbs check, a d I'm worried wat my hubby did will show, can anyone help, I am really low at the minute so I am trying to build my confidence up, but scared because if I get rejected I don't no if I could take that right now.
I feel like there is conflicting information as my other half doesn't love with me but we are still together. Can any one please please help me

I cannot offer any advice as I am not in the same situation but I would recommend you speak to someone from unlock org as they have a lot of information that may be of help for you

Thank I have messaged them, but I just wandered, it's so hard isn't it because I finally plucked up the courage to try and get back to normal, and then I worry about being rejected.

Go for it Dawn - I got a new job two weeks before my sons sentence. People worried if it was a good thing for me, would it be all too much / but honestly it was the best thing I did.

I really think there will be nothing on your dbs check, it is not your offence and will only show a conviction.
my partner has had 2 dbs checks for his job since he was RUI and they both came back clear.

Thank u, its not my conviction but I was unsure with us still being together, although not living together it would show up, I'm feeling so lonely and down I'm hoping this will give me back some confidence.

As far as I'm aware if you are living with an offender their conviction can be an advisory note on an enhanced dbs check. My manager has said that it wouldn't affect anything for my work having this note on it.
you get a dbs posted to you before you have to show it to work so if it is there you can call the police to appeal it and ask them to take it off. I've read they will do this if it isn't related to your job-if you work with children it would stay on if they think it is relevant.

He doesn't live with me as he isn't allowed to at mo, and they are doing the dbs so I don't no where it will go but thank u x I'm not a threat to any one, its a local help the community run group

I have one and it is fine. I asked the question before I put in the application and DBS is about you and not your address. I have an enhanced one which I got about 5 months after the knock.
I returned to work shortly after my son was arrested and within hours LADO alerted my company (enhanced). Reason (because he lived with us).
They then arranged an ordinary DBS that came through ok. But I still left in the end!
