Good evening I have not posted for a while I have been trying to come to terms with what my son as done and what he is putting our family through.

You don't stop loving them do you myself and my husband have said we will help and stand by him.

The problem is we have him living with us at the moment he is scared to stay at his flat also hevis afraid to go out hence he gave his job up that's another story so he is feeling very safe in this environment.

I have asked him to see a therapist or Gp but he won't he did say he is talking online on the stopitnow site plus he is doing modules I just wanted to know if this will help him in anyway or should I keep suggesting a one to one therapist.

Hi mum50

I am standing by my son too. The fact that your son is talking to stopit now and doing the modules is encouraging. i personally feel that by seeking help from a professional stopso therapist would be very beneficial in helping him address this issue. My son is currently having this every 2-3 weeks, he also has completed the inform plus course, has blockerx on his devices so he cannot or be tempted to access anything He seems to be in a good place and I do think by using initiative in seeking help like this bodes well with regards to sentencing as the judicial system does take this into consideration in most cases.

wishing you all well.

Hi Mum50

Hope your keeping ok xx

It's good that he is speaking to stopso and completing the modules, my son did them but for him the best advise I would give is to see if your son would speak to a therapist Stop it now can recommend someone who understands this journey the one my son had was so good for him they spoke weekly until he went in on remand and he really misses his weekly sessions x he also worked through the modules with his therapist but your son has to want to do this for himself but it has been so beneficial xx
