Hi all

Seen our SW today and she has said that the police have said the case is "awaiting a decision". They didn't say CPS but those 3 words! So does that mean it's gone to CPS and we haven't been told yet? Or what other decision might they be making?

Should I contact officer in charge myself to see what they say? Solicitor hasn't said anything yet either.

So bloody frustrating!

I don't think they have to tell you. I was asked some questions from the OIC which he said the CPS had asked him to clarify but when I called the CPS weeks after they said they didn't have the case so I don't really get it. Then after the last time I called we received charges about 2 months after so I don't know who was "wrong" but somebody was! I would call the OIC if they've been ok with you so far it can't do any harm but they might not tell you if it relates to your partner Xx

Blackhound, How do you know which cps will be dealing with your case, how do you contact them?

I would contact oic but I'm assuming that would mean it's been sent to cps too x

Jayjay, you can Google your local CPS, they're split into larger categories of area they deal with and then smaller offices. Google will give you the number. I spoke to the CPS and they were really helpful.

Hi thanks all

We just found out from solicitor that it went to CPS 24th January.
I'm now a nervous wreck. Any idea how long the wait is in east of England?
thanks
