Hello Daffodil
I am so sorry you find yourself here. You are probably still in shock with what has happened but I would recommend you ring the helpline as soon as you feel able to for advise and support.
Does your son have support from any services for his Autism/ADHD? If so they may be able to support your son and you throughout this process.
When you feel ready it would be good for you and your son to make contact with your GP to see what support they can provide, if you have not already done so.
You have come to the right place for support. x

Hi Daffodil
It can be difficult to get through to the helpline as they are so busy. A good tip, howver, is when they say they are busy and for you to try again later (or words to that effect) stay holding onto the line and eventually you do get through. It certainly worth giving it a try.
If your son has been discharged from services your GP maybe the best first port of call to see if he can signpost your son/and you to any services. As a family we know to well how young people on the autistic spetrum can be discharged from services they need to support them. Sadly I don't think there is enough support to go around and so they will discharge at the earliest opportunity, almost like we are all on a rotation system, until a crisis happens and we need to use the services again.
I hope you have success getting through to the helpline soon. Keep posting on here too for support.
Take care x
