It depends on the job and the requirements the employers ask for. Does the application ask for disclosure of convictions? Does it involve direct work with vulnerable people? Does it involve access to computers? Access to the internet? Not all jobs need disclosure and not all jobs require you to access the internet or involve computer use.

If it involves any of those things I would do the interview first and then disclose if he gets an offer. He will have to tell his supervising officer though to comply with requirements of the register.

Hi Lilly, my husband was told by his OMU that if they don't ask don't tell them. He will need approval of the relevant agencies before he can take it but go ahead with the interview and see how it goes.
