Hi ladies

My SW has informed me that they require me to undertake a protective carers assessment as they doubt my protective capacity of my two children. (Even though hubby is not at home at all and is not having any contact as per their plan).
Has anyone ever done one of these assessments before and can tell me anything about it? So far all I know is an early help worker is due to come round and talk to me about the impact of sexual harm on the kids (they have never been harmed). And that's it.

Does anyone have any knowledge they can share with me please?
Thanks, Lou x

Hi Lou,

I have had like a support worker who did work with me on recognising signs and symptoms of all the different abuses, there is like 7 videos on the stopso website I think if u can look at them maybe and also look at the nspcc website at the pants work which I did with my 8 year old ( only 7 at the time ) these might help u xx

Thank you Dawn.
it's getting frustrating that they're the ones telling me I have to complete the work and yet here I am waiting for them to start and chasing them up. It'll be good to get started on something and be proactive while I'm waiting so I'll have a look at those bits you've recommended xx
