Can anyone advise on how to find an appropriate therapist for myself? My son sees a specialist one and I've had a couple of sessions but of course there's potential for conflict of interest so I'd rather find my own. In view of this sensitive issue, I'd like to find someone with some knowledge in this area - it's not so much for the understanding of what my son has done, but I just think it would be helpful to talk about the impact on the family dynamic and honestly, just so that I can talk about ME ME ME for any hour! I can't find a list of therapists on this website or on StopSo.
Hi Lola, if you contact StopSo and explain to them your situation they will be able to put you in contact with a therapist.
If your son is using one through them, explain you'd like a different one.

there is a form on the stopso website, they send your details to a suitable therapist. I've just started it this week
