Hiya girls.

Just asking a question really for hubby and me of course.

So I looking at the big picture.

Once courts etc out of the way. Is there live for a sex offender ?

Yes jobs will be hard to find and for a while holidays could be tricky. Just wondering for the likes of going out pubs, football matches etc.

Thank you xx

My partner was sentenced over two years ago and no longer on suspended sentence, so only has the SOR and SHPO left.

We have lived as normal life as possible. Thankfully it never made the media and only a handful of people know of his conviction.

We have rented together, and looking to get our own property- so far no issues with that. We have multiple holidays in the UK and do day trips to zoos, museums etc. We go to local festivals etc.

We haven't booked to go abroad yet, we hope to travel through Europe. When it comes to the SHPO the main thing that affects my partner is he can't go to family, work or friends events where children under 16 will be - unless ok with parents and SS. So things like going to work BBQs with families are a no.

I would say that would apply if going to football matches with others who will be bringing kids. Always something to check with the probation officer.

My partner gets a few spot checks from police throughout the year and has had monitoring software that is on all the time. We did have one hiccup with the SHPO where my partner and I didn't know he had to disclose and the police have him a warning and made my partner disclose to the parents (certain family members on my side).

It is mostly about making sure the TS and C's are understood, and if in doubt double check with the probation office and police

We let the police know when we are on holiday and had no issues other than going to Scotland. We have police liaison months notice of where we were going but I suspect she didn't tell the Scottish police asap and a week before we were going the Scottish police were not happy we were staying near a school and warned they might do a visit.

Thankfully they never turned up, we were on holiday with people who didn't know about my partner's conviction.

We haven't gone to any holiday parks or similar, which many have conditions to say sex offenders are not allowed on such sites. We just go to hotels and bnbs.

My partner got a job a few months after his sentence because they never asked for disclosure. The role has been signed off by police as not a concern because he won't work with children

Thank you.

Yes looks like either a change and trust me anything we do when he on the register I will be watching.

Jobs is his biggest worry and of course mind what with my disability.
