Just as my son was beginning to settle he phoned to say (with no reason given) he was being moved. My god we thought 90 miles was a long way off but where he's going is ridiculous. I'm quite gutted.

So so sorry Smile. This prison journey is one none of us thought we'd be on and the reality of prison really impacts so badly on families, I'm sure that the judges never actually realise just how much! Our whole justice system is so outdated and broken!
You are amazing, and you will find a way, I'm sure, of keeping connected. Hopefully it will be a better prison and he will feel more comfortable. xxx

Thankyou. It's just sad everything seemed to be on track with his confidence growing and the carpet has literally been pulled from under him in an instant...... and there's not a thing you can do.

I thought once they had been sentanced and re located that is where they stay to serve there time :-(
Do you know where he has been moved to? Does it offer more support, learning that the one he was in?

Hi upset - In 17 months this will be his 4th move. I know he gets very upset with change and can get things mixed up, in almost a panic mode, so I really don't know what's going on to be honest. I've just got to wait for the next call....

Smile, I'm so sorry, that's absolutely dreadful. Our prison system is so broken - how can anyone come out any better than they went in? Heartbreaking for you :-( xx

i am so sorry to hear your son's news. Why does your son keep getting moved? What are the reasons , how can people settle , its hopefully just a mino set back . How far will you have to travel to or don't you know yet. I do hope not to far away, and I do hope you won't have difficulties talking to him x

At last had a call and a positive one at that. My boy is in a specialist SO unit. He said it's not like a prison and everyone has been very kind. His first time travelling on a ferry!!!!!
