Hi,

Not posted for a long time! We are 4 years post knock. Over 2 years since my husband was charged. Had 3 trial dates all moved, next date May 2022.

in 2019 for a period of 3 months he had to leave. Then he was allowed back and literally have had no social work involvement since.

He is pleading no guilty as he is not guilty. Images were found on a family computer, used by all. Nothing was found on phones, iPads etc.

i don't really know the point of this post only that the whole process has broken me. I worry constantly. 3 times I have booked time off for the trial and 3 times it has been moved! It is cruel.

Hey Cornish Tea,

Wowzers! What a horrendous amount of time! Nearing half a decade - it's outrageous!!! I can't imagine how it must feel to have had it gone on for such a long time. I really hope you get the not guilty at trial and it happens sooner rather than later x

Hi CornishTea

I'm pleased that your Hubby has stuck to his guns although I'm sure it would in the main part be over if just plead guilty. the problem I think the police have is their evidence isn't that great and I think they rely on men pleading guilty to do their job for them.

I'm nearly 3 years post knock another year of this seams unbearable litrally hats off to you! You are amazing even if you may not feel it.

For people given such significant punishments ie life changing how can they keep taking so long to process them?

Don't you think if this wasn't such a taboo subject people would think it's a joke how long it taken!

Sending Huge hugs xx

Hi Cornishtea,

What a dreadful experience for you, 4 years is a crazy length of time. Can I ask how they have charged him if it was a shared computer, how could that stand up in court?

Really hope you get a good outcome.

Paris,

He was charged as he fits the profile ie male, middle aged etc.

The profile on the pc was his name, but we all used the same one. I mean we all have our own Netflix icon but everyone uses mine! It's the same theory. Not like at work when you have to log in and have an individual user name and password.

When we went to court last time, the prosecution had not prepared the case. In addition the lawyer for the prosecution said that he wasn't happy with the police analysis as it had been done by a junior analyser. The judge was furious but didn't make any difference and so here we are.

As someone said you would kick up a huge stink if it was anything else but somehow we are treated as scum of the earth with no rights.

Omg! It's managed to get all the way to court from a name and profile picture?! That is outrageous! In fact it's terrifying, anybody could learn about that and set people up for the biggest fall of their lives. I do struggle to get my head around some of these cases and how they waste so much time and money (not to mention the damage it does to the "offender" and family) when they don't even have a scrap of decent evidence. It's disgusting to do this to people.

Wow Cornish! I really feel for you. Please keep us updated, it'll be interesting to know how this stands up in court.
What are the charges and how many people use your computer?
