My partner has signed the SOR. He hasn't yet been visited by a visor (he's been in the register for 3/4 weeks). He was told if he stayed anywhere for more than 7 nights he'd need to let them known. We are approaching that for the number of nights he's stayed at mine.

What will happen? I assume the police local to my partner contact my local police, can I expect anything to happen here, for example the police contact or visit me? I am slightly nervous as many of my friends are in the local police force and no one knows what's happening.

I don't live near a school. I don't have any children. Nieces and nephews visit occasionally but would never be there when he is.

On a side note, should he be chasing for a visit from the police visor? He's due for sentencing in 3 weeks?

He needs to in person register your address asap. They don't need to check the property or even ask your permission.

He needs to register all addresses he is likely to spend more than 7 days in a year. It's so that they have a list of addresses of where he could be if they need to track him down, is what I was told. He has my mums address down as we stay over a nights every so often.

All he needs to do is go to the police station and add your address as part of his registration. But definitely get it done asap so it doesn't become an issue.

It is highly possible that you may get a visit from the visor team local to you to ensure that you are aware of the situation and confirm that there are no children at the property. However they also may not. If they do, they will be plain clothed and in an unmarked car so no-one would know it was the police.

He possibly hasn't have a visit yet as they are waiting until sentencing when they will have a copy of any SHPO. Alternatively they have tried to visit and he wasn't in, you won't know if that has happened.

Thanks for confirming.

I'm not sure why he didn't register my address straight away - I think he was just trying to limit any further impacts on me. But he's going to get it done.
