As Lee says, there is plenty support on here but precious little elsewhere. You are embarking on a tough, lonely journey. Its hard to know before you tell how those you tell will react, some will be brilliant, others will not be so supportive. For me, the urge to unburden myself has at time been overwhelming. I have had to hold myself back. Counselling has been a lifeline for me.

Well done for posting I know how difficult that must have been but rest assured you will get no judgement on here,

We are all on the same journey just different time scales

Look at the link Lee1969 has mentioned as there is some support available

Be kind to your self firstly as this is a long uncertain journey so you need to ensure you are looking after yourself

Telling people often be really difficult and some will struggle to understand but with a bit of time that could change,

As for the media well we have no control if it is posted but honestly I will not worry as it will be what it is and those that matter are all I am concerned about so if they are ok then I will be also

Sending hugs and please keep reaching out to us xx

Ellbee, welcome to our club, the one noone wants to be in, it's great your hubby is back home, you have some support and he's doing work on himself, I had to find this forem mysekf through Google, us partners are just left in the rubble when it all comes crashing down, but it does get a bit easier as time goes on. I don't k ow where I'd be with this, if I'm. Honest neither would my partner as I've got so much info off here. My gp referred me to mental health nurse, then counselling which really helped I'm on medication too, it's really helped with anxiety and depression. We are all here for you so any questions just ask xx
