Social services have just been round and advised of a section 17 child in need. She said that my husband would have to have a sexual risk assessment done and that until that time he wouldn't be able to have any unsupervised time with our 11 year old daughter. I explained that just wasn't doable. When he was on bail and not allowed here I struggled with work and childcare on my own. No local family and friends that I'd rather not tell.
She said she would explain all this to her supervisor and get back to me. Guess my question is do we have to comply? I only do 2 days a week and unsupervised would only be for a few hours anyway. I just don't see a way we can work this.
sorry for rambling, at the moment it's ramble on here or cry.

Thanks again Lee.
She's just called back, they've had discussions and he can continue having unsupervised contact, we've just got to try and reduce the time that is spent alone. Also need to tell daughter what to do incase she gets worried or if she's made to feel uncomfortable. Stuff we've been doing anyway x

Hi Livvy

that's great news. Just wondering what the charges are? We are also child in need and have been told no unsupervised contact at all :(

Thanks Lee, I've emailed asking her to confirm it, so I can talk with line manager about shifts. X

Thank you Jayjay, no charges at present still under investigation. Hope this decision stays the same when the next sw team come and see us. No unsupervised is so hard x
